WHAT IS DOA?

What Is DOA?

DOA is the abbreviation for the phrase “Depozitosu Olan Ambalajlar” (Packaging with a Deposit). The system ensures that packaging carrying a deposit is delivered to Return Points and, from there, included in the recycling process. When you return your packaging, you get your deposit amount back; this way, you both contribute to the environment and gain a financial benefit from the process.

Why Is DOA Important?

Contributing to packaging recycling is an important step for the well-being of the environment and future generations. By delivering your packaging to DOA Return Points, you can take part in this process and help support the preservation of a cleaner environment. This system also contributes to the country’s development goals and adds value to the economy.

The main areas the system contributes to:

Preventing drought, Protecting seas, Reducing pollution, Reducing landfill sites, Improving air quality…

What Is the Purpose of DOA?

DOA is a system designed with the goal of leaving behind a livable world for future generations. The aim is to look after not only the present but also the future, turning our sense of responsibility toward nature into a concrete action. Reinvesting the deposit amount obtained from every recycled package makes sustainability possible on an economic level as well. This creates a cycle that operates both physically and financially.

What Does DOA Bring Us?

DOA contributes to the development of recycling awareness; it helps increase mindful consumption habits and social awareness. This way, as the amount of waste decreases, consumers also become aware of their own role in this cycle. This step, which begins with a single person, contributes to a broader social consciousness over time.
